Abstract
The report reviews the current status of cetacean eco-tourism in Oman, and assesses its potential for growth based on experiences in other developing countries with established whale-watching industries. Recommendations are made for the development of guidelines, maximum numbers of operators, and the inclusion of educational elements to tours. The report also discusses marketing strategies and the importance of offering a high standard of service.
